Jefrey's is one of the smaller cocktail bars in the French capital, but offers a warm welcome in its tiny salon downstairs or on the mezzanine floor upstairs. With the bartenders necessarily close to their customers and swinging French jazz playing in the background, watch them set to work like you're taking a one-on-one masterclass. The pocket-size format lends itself to conversation and the boss is not averse to divulging his spiritual secrets. Small is beautiful.
