Before you open the door, you need to find the door. Through the bar of the Inca Hotel, through the kitchen, and there it is—beautiful, white and adorned with a cross with an inscription that reads Mezcaleria/Bar Clandestino. You step from Boulevard du Temple into a Mexican temple—a large, dark room, with luminous crucifix on the ceiling and skull over the bar. The high priest here is Lord Mezcal, with more than 100 apostles listed on the menu by variety of agave. Whether it's your first communion or you're a long-time worshipper, enjoy your mezcal revelation. Keep the faith!
